8-day Classic Primate Safari by Road

Not to be missed is mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; while chimps can easily be spotted in Kibale Forest. Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks offer wonderful African savannah safaris with good wildlife viewing.

This Classic Primate Safari takes you to one of the very few places to see endangered mountain gorillas, combines chimpanzee & other primate viewing with a classic savannah safari. The Ugandan Journey gives you a good balance between vehicle, boat and walking activities and not leaving out the excellent experience of meeting the local people and taking in the scenic beauty

If you enjoy birding, the weird and wonderful looking shoebill can be found in the wetlands.  Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts tree climbing lions!  The hike to find the gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is an adventure of its own.  Sitting quietly and observing a family of wild gorillas is a privilege and an experience one will not forget.  Chimpanzees are intelligent and very entertaining to watch as they play and swing through the trees.

Uganda is on the equator, fun fact:  you can literally watch water go down the plug hole flowing clockwise and just a few meters away, it will go anticlockwise.
