Morning transfer to the airport for a midday flight to the Namibian capital, Windhoek. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. In the evening you may wish to visit a well-known local bar and restaurant, Joe's Taphaus.
Thuringer Hof (Breakfast)After breakfast depart by mini bus for Swakopmund, located on the Atlantic Ocean. This German colonial town offers interesting architecture and sightseeing, and the journey takes approximately five hours. Arrive mid-afternoon for a two-night stay.
Strand Hotel (Breakfast)After breakfast you will be taken on an excursion to Cape Cross, which is the home of the largest cape fur seal colony in Africa. With over 20,000 animals, it is a memorable and unique sight and, time permitting, you will visit the Welwitschia plant reserve. These strange plants exist only in Namibia and some are over 600 years old.
Strand Hotel (Breakfast)After breakfast we depart on a long road journey to Etosha National Park. One of the most interesting parks in Africa, Etosha is renowned for its large hers of springbok and oryx as well as big cats. Overnight accommodation is in the park.
Okaukuejo Rest Camp (Dinner & Breakfast)Enjoy a full day of game viewing as you travel eastwards through the park to the main camp, where you will arrive late afternoon. This game drive should prove to be one of the highlights of the tour.
Namutoni Rest Camp (Dinner & Breakfast)After breakfast there will be a further opportunity for game viewing. We leave the park via the eastern gate, and travel south via the market town of Otjiwarongo we make our way to Windhoek for an overnight stay.
Thuringer Hof (Breakfast)Free morning in Windhoek, during which time you may wish to visit the local museum before being transferred to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. You will remain in transit and connect to your flight to Australia or Europe.
