BRUNEI EXTENSION
The Sultanate of Brunei became a British protectorate in 1868 and gained independence in 1984. With one of
the highest per capita incomes in the world, this tiny oil-rich country consists of two separate parts with a
total area of 5,756 sq kms. Brunei is alcohol free, but you are allowed to bring in duty free. This excursion
can be combined with Sarawak as an addition to the Borneo Explorer.
Day 01 KOTA KINABALU / BRUNEI
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bandar Seri
Begawan 0945/1025. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay. Afternoon City tour,
including a river walk, the museum and the Sultan's regalia room.

Day 02 BRUNEI
Morning free. Afternoon river cruise to observe proboscis monkeys and other wildlife. Return
to your hotel early evening.

Day 03 BRUNEI / KUCHING or KUALA LUMPUR
Morning free for shopping. There are some excellent bargains to be had as the country is virtually
duty free. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to either Kuching or Kuala Lumpur.
